  • By submitting this application to establish a new office with the Suncoast Tampa Area REALTORS® (STAR), the undersigned agrees to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Purpose
    This agreement outlines the terms under which a Designated REALTOR® (“Applicant”) may establish a new real estate office under STAR for the purpose of obtaining access to STAR services, including Stellar MLS.

    2. Office Setup Fee

    • A one-time, non-refundable office setup fee of $225 is due at the time of application submission.
    • This fee is for administrative processing and office record creation within STAR and affiliated systems, including MLS.

     

    3. Designated REALTOR® Qualifications

    To be eligible to establish a new office under STAR, the Applicant must:

    • Be a member in good standing with STAR, or apply for membership concurrently with this agreement.
    • Be the qualifying broker of record for the office, as reflected in the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) records.


    4. Role and Responsibility of the Designated REALTOR®

    By entering into this agreement, the Designated REALTOR® acknowledges and agrees to the following:

    • They will serve as the Primary Contact for the office and assume full responsibility for the office’s compliance with all STAR policies, procedures, and membership obligations.
    • They are accountable for all agents affiliated with the office, including their dues, conduct, and adherence to the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, STAR Bylaws, and MLS Rules and Regulations
    • They are responsible for promptly informing STAR of any changes to the office’s legal status, address, contact information, or affiliated licensees.


    5. Office Information Requirements


    The following information must be provided at the time of application:

    • Legal name and address of the office
    • DBPR registration for the office and qualifying broker
    • Valid contact details (email and phone) for both the office and the Designated REALTOR®

     

    6. MLS Participation (If Applicable)

    • If the office intends to participate in Stellar MLS, additional MLS participation agreements may be required. Participation is subject to separate MLS Rules and activation requirements.


    7. Acknowledgment and Agreement

    • By acknowledging below, the Designated REALTOR® confirms that all provided information is true and accurate to the best of their knowledge and agrees to abide by all STAR governing documents and policies. Failure to comply with any of the above terms may result in denial of office setup or disciplinary action.
